San Telmo

The neighborhood of San Telmo is the oldest of all the barrios or neighborhoods of Buenos Aires. San Telmo is a unique area with its cobblestone streets and mostly colonial architecture line the streets.

There is so much to see and do in San Telmo with numerous churches, museums, antique shops, restaurants.

You will also often see street performers dancing on the streets all throughout the neighborhood.

It is also considered a Mecca of the Arts in Buenos Aires with so many of the area’s artists flock to this area of town. As part of this article, we included three recommended hostels to stay at in San Telmo.
